Below are the most common services that I provide. Given my extensive career in health and my passion to provide good care and support, I have a range of contacts or can refer you to the best resource. Antenatal breastfeeding education and preparation

You are preparing for the birth of your baby, why not prepare for breastfeeding your newborn?

I can offer face to face consultations in the comfort of your own home for both you and your support person. Here I’ll take you through techniques and clarify information about breastfeeding your newborn and preparing for the birth of your baby.

Sleep/settling strategies for new parents

Having a newborn baby is both wonderful and overwhelming at the same time. I can help normalise newborn behaviour and help you identify your baby’s cues for both feeding and sleep.

I offer one-on-one consultation in the comfort of your own home, watching your baby’s behaviour and develop a personalised plan to support you.

Postnatal breastfeeding support

In the privacy and comfort of your own home, I collect a full history of your concerns, assess your feeding, discuss your experiences and challenges with breastfeeding. I will discuss your feeding goals and create a plan for you to achieve them.

Tongue tie and lip tie specialist

Tongue tie is the leading reason why women cease breastfeeding early as the pain and discomfort from a baby with tongue tie becomes unbearable. Having had personal experience with this, I understand it is often dismissed or overlooked, with little consideration for the issues that can arise later in life. I can provide an independent tongue tie assessment and management plan for you.

Postnatal breastfeeding support

In-home consultation

$140/hour.
Most consultations are no more than 2 hours

I offer a 2 week ongoing support following initial consultation via text or email.

Follow-up consultation

$100/hour

Travel fees

I visit homes in the North, North West Melbourne and Macedon Ranges areas and provide no additional cost to visit in these areas. If you live outside of these areas I am happy to see you with an additional travel fee.

Rebates

Lactation consultant services are not covered by Medicare. However,my fees are covered by most Private Health Insurance plans, depending on your level of cover.

Most Mum’s have one 2 hour face to face consultation with ongoing follow up

With – your partner, mother, bestfriend or by yourself.

What does a lactation consultant cost?

My fee is $140/hr. This includes face to face in home consultation and any referrals required. I offer online/phone support and follow up for 2 weeks post initial consultation. For some areas I may need to charge a travel fee. You can view my fees on my service and prices page.
